Living at Pavilion Damansara Heights: Why I’d Choose Crown

Room for a changing household, a completed home and a mall downstairs. Jeremy’s own-stay preference, with Imperial as an option for later.

If I were choosing my own home at Pavilion Damansara Heights today, Crown Residences would be my starting point. It is completed, the layouts give me room to settle in, and the mall makes everyday plans easier.

Between the two typical sizes, I would lean towards 2,803 sq ft. My reason is simple: I want a home that can accommodate a different life five years from now.

01 / Room for life to change

I would buy the extra room before I need it.

An office now. A study or games room later. A guest bedroom when family stays. I would rather have that choice than discover that every room already has a permanent job.

Crown’s G2 plan has four bedrooms, a separate study and a maid’s room. The smaller G1 also has a study, so this is not a choice between having a workspace and having none. For me, the larger home offers more freedom to keep work, guests and family bedrooms separate.

The extra 500 sq ft is spread across the layout. It is not a single 500 sq ft spare room.

Working from home

Keep a dedicated office while retaining a room for visitors.

A growing household

Give a child or family member their own bedroom without displacing the study.

Space for yourself

A hobby or games room can become a guest room when your priorities change.

These are alternative ways I would use the rooms, not additional rooms beyond the floor plan.

02 / The everyday attraction

A home above the things I enjoy.

For me, the appeal is being able to make a small plan without turning it into a separate trip: browse for a book, have dinner, or catch a film before heading home.

Kinokuniya · Level 4

A bookstore to spend time in, beyond the usual shopping and dining routine.

TGV Cinemas · Level 5

A movie night within the development. TGV’s Pavilion Damansara Heights cinema opened in 2026.

On my visits, the mall has felt more relaxed than Pavilion Kuala Lumpur or Pavilion Bukit Jalil. I enjoy that slower pace. Someone expecting the same crowds and bustle may have a different reaction.

“The grand lobby, the service and comfortable facilities are part of why I would consider living here. I want the arrival home to feel as good as the apartment itself.”

Crown’s pool and gym add another part of the routine without a separate drive. But a mall downstairs does not replace the need for privacy at home. During a viewing, I would compare the actual unit’s outlook and sound levels, then walk its route to the lifts, facilities and mall.

03 / Move sooner or plan further ahead?

Crown now. Imperial if I can wait.

Crown lets me assess a completed building and the actual home I am buying. I can see the light, view, finishes and arrival experience rather than judge them only from a brochure.

That does not mean every Crown unit is ready to occupy on purchase. A partially furnished home may need furniture or renovation, and the move depends on completion of the sale and vacant possession.

If I were not in a hurry, I would also consider Imperial Residences. Its 3,380 to 4,090 sq ft layouts offer more space for a family planning ahead. It is still under construction, so the decision includes waiting for handover and arranging the home afterwards.

I would favour Crown if…

I want a completed home sooner and 2,303 or 2,803 sq ft suits the household.

I would consider Imperial if…

I can wait and have a clear use for a larger family layout, within my budget.

What if I want to rent out or sell the home later?

I would still choose a home I enjoy first. But I also value a larger layout as a point of difference if my needs change. In my own property search, homes of this size are not available in every new development.

That is a reason to consider the layout, not a promise of a quick sale or tenant. A future buyer or tenant will compare the asking price, condition, furnishing and other available homes. I would keep that flexibility in mind without making rental income the reason for my own-stay purchase.

Would Crown suit your household?

Tell me who will live with you, how you would use the extra room and when you want to move. We can compare the layouts against those needs.
